Getting to Mdina and Rabat
Mdina and Rabat are located in the centre of the island of Malta. The easiest way to get there is by car, and there are plenty of car rental companies located around the island which is a more expensive option.
Alternatively, you can take a bus from Valletta or other major cities on the island. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes, and the bus stop in Mdina is located just outside the city walls.
From Valetta, you can go to Valletta Bus Station from terminals C1, C2 or C3. Buses 50, 51,52, 53 and 56 all go towards the direction of Mdina. The cost of a bus fare is around €2 euros per person.
