Here are some of the best activities to do when at Komandoo, Maldives. The Maldives is a relaxing paradise. However, there are plenty of fun activities to experience at Komandoo.
Duniye Spa at Komandoo Maldives
If doing anything more than relaxing is on your agenda, then the Duniye Spa located at Komandoo may be a good way to add a bit of variety to your day.
My husband and I went for a couples massage, and we could not recommend it more. The staff were wonderful and as we booked at the end of our stay it was the perfect activity to end our holiday.
You can book treatments separately from your package with different offers every day. However, some inclusive packages include a weekly visit to the Spa so it is good to check what your package includes.
Scuba Diving & Snorkelling at Komandoo, Maldives
One of the biggest reasons to visit Komandoo, Maldives is for scuba diving. To explore the coral reefs and experience marine life up close. The Prodivers centre which is located in Komandoo was voted the best dive centre in the Maldives in 2018. A perfect Maldives, Komandoo activity.
Unfortunately, because of a fear of open water. I hadn’t had a chance to experience this activity, but snorkelling equipment was included in our package. As well as a session with the in-house diving team.
The dive centre offers access to multiple drop-offs to beautiful protected reefs full of life and colour. It has access to many channels for those seeking bigger fish action. https://www.prodivers.com/
Sunset Cruise – Dolphin Watching at Komandoo, Maldives
As a part of our inclusive package was a sunset cruise, we decided to go mid-way through our stay. We didn’t have high hopes of spotting any Dolphins as we imagined it would be a rare occurrence.
The opportunity to be in the open water on a boat to view the sunset was still an appealing way to spend the evening. Luckily once we got further into the Indian Ocean, we spotted a pod of dolphins dancing aside the boat. Once they got ahead of the boat they playfully jumped in and out of the water.
This was definitely a highlight of the trip, and the sunset on the boat was also magical.
Kayaking & Watersports at Komandoo Maldives
Although we didn’t take advantage of Kayaks or sports that are available on the island. There are plenty of activities that are available for anyone who prefers an active holiday.
The kayaks are free to use, but other watersport activities must be booked directly at the island.
Excursions – Including Night Fishing, Atoll Marine Centre, Kuredu Island Gold
If you are staying at Komandoo for a long time. You can also take advantage of excursions that are available, or if you prefer, you can just speak to reception when you arrive.
